Impeachment: This Present Darkness
This week the U.S. House of Representatives will likely vote to impeach the 45th president of the United States on bogus charges and no crimes–a horrible misuse of our Constitution.
Impeachment is not a legislative process–it is a political one. Everything we hate about politics will be on display by the Democratic Party on Thursday, December 19.
It will be one of the worst days in the history of our glorious republic.
Over the next two weeks I want to talk about the two greatest realities in human life. One is agonizingly negative–the ugliness of sin. The other is gloriously positive–the magnificence of God’s love.
Let’s discuss the bad news first.

Hillary Clinton trumpeted the need for “Resistance” after her Electoral College defeat and many Never-Trumpers from both political parties simultaneously joined the chorus.
This week the resistance movement in the House of Representatives, under the leadership of Congressman Adam Schiff, D-CA, opens impeachment hearings on the president. This follows two-and-a-half years of the fruitless Mueller investigation.
Other than being a gigantic waste of the public’s time and money (shouldn’t we be solving important national problems?), I have one simple question:
What are they resisting?
An Appeal to Thoughtful Democrats
Those who know me understand my greatest loyalty lies to the ultimate government of the world, the Kingdom of God–of whom Jesus Christ is the supreme ruler.
But while on earth, I’m also a citizen of the United States where I’m committed to voting for civil leaders who will preserve the God-given rights of people–to life, liberty and property (the pursuit of happiness).
I vote for “the public good.”
In this article, I’d like to make a heart-felt appeal to my Democratic friends.
