Providence and President Trump
Twelve hours after the attempted assassination of Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, I anxiously sat down for my morning devotions. Most days I check my “Life Calendar” to see what happened on this particular date in past years. (My “Life Calendar” can be found on pages 697-714 of One Small Life.)
On July 14, 1973, I recorded my belief in a vital truth:
“God is sovereign in history.”
America learned that same lesson–again–on July 13, 2024.
Here are my thoughts on God’s Providence and attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
With Deception and Injustice for All
May 30, 2024 was a sad day in American history. Regardless of your view of former president Donald Trump, he experienced a travesty of justice by being convicted of a felony in New York on petty financial charges. George Soros funded DA Alvin Bragg, Biden-donor Judge Juan Merchan, and twelve jurors did a great disservice to our nation.
I believe this banana republic form of “lawfare” against political enemies—encouraged by the White House—has become a cancer in our nation.
Without revival in the land, we have entered a time of great deception and injustice for all.
Destroying the Foundations–Censorship
In coming months, outside of seasonal topics and breaking news, I want to share my concerns about the erosion of biblical principles in the Western World.
We are rapidly losing our Bible-based foundations through an onslaught of evil from the demonic world, an increasingly ignorant populace, and a sleepy, backslidden Church.
Russ Walton and Verna Hall pointed me to Psalm 11:3 a generation ago:
“If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?”
Good question.
