The Religion of Climate Change
I’m taking a break at summer end from some writing before zeroing in after Labor Day on the need to restore the American conscience–starting with each one of us. We can’t even vote right in November without an awakened conscience.
This week I ran across a good article on a pagan religion to which we just threw $369 billion dollars–foolishly named the “Inflation Reduction Act.” Let’s call it a “tithe” to what many of our leaders profess to worship.

We have spent some weeks describing the immense problem of decay of conscience in American culture and other nations. I believe pastors and Christian leaders are primarily responsible for dimming the lights of God’s love and truth in today’s world.
Last week we looked at the role that the media plays in exploiting the “dull lighting” with a firehose of darkness–from the Internet, to our cell phones, television, videos, and even the music play lists we frequent.
It’s easy to point fingers at pastors and media giants–but we must not start there.
Conscience decay begins with you and me.
Media Deception & Decay of Conscience
Charles Finney once declared that a decay of conscience in America would come from two primary sources–the Church (pastors and spiritual leaders) failing to fill the nation with light (truth and salvation), and the public press (media) promoting lies in their place.
That’s exactly what happening in the USA and many other nations today.
Let’s look at the deceptive power of today’s media.
