Revival
The Poison of Profanity
We live in a time of words–in person, print, on radio and television, and throughout the Internet.
I receive about 50 promotional emails, respond to scores of personal inquiries, participate in 10-20 phone conversations , and probably send out 30 texts every day. That’s besides all the personal conversations, scanning and watching the news/TV, and wondering how those celestial satellites can handle trillions of spoken words simultaneously.
We are awash in words in the 21st century–many laden with the poison of profanity.
What can we do about it?
Seventeen Months to Revive America?
I recently shared on the National Day of Prayer and spiritual awakening in America. That day President Trump held an event with faith leaders and announced confidently, “We’re bringing religion back to our country.” He then signed an executive order establishing a Religious Liberty Commission that will run until July 4, 2026, the 250th anniversary of American Independence.
Seven days after the NDP, the largest single day of baptisms in U.S. history took place in Huntington Beach, California, where 30,000 gathered from 500 churches and over 7,700 people were baptized.
God is on the move.
In this generation, might we have 17 months to revive America?
A Turning Tide and the National Day of Prayer
The “tide is turning” in America.
Helping to propel it forward will be the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 1.
The past Easter saw a near revival-like explosion of salvations, baptisms, and heightened spiritual awareness through the United States and other nations. Thursday’s National Day of Prayer (in which I had the privilege of participating in Washington, D.C. for forty years) may be used by God to swell the rising waves of renewal.
Sadly, many of the cultural waves of the 21st century, especially in the West, have been secular/atheistic in nature including globalism. But not in 2025.
Be encouraged. The tide is turning.
You can join in by participating in the National Day of Prayer this Thursday.
