Christian Nationalism is a Great Thing
A couple of years ago, a spiritual leader publicly questioned my teachings on America’s faith-based values and heritage. I was surprised by the unsolicited attack.
The leader accused me of teaching “Christian nationalism”–a term I had never heard before.
After hearing this phrase become mainstreamed in our culture over the past few years. I understand why some believers are being deceived into thinking it’s bad.
They’re being lied to.
Christian nationalism is a great thing.
My View of the World 2023
Throughout 2022, my “view of the world” was filtered through the writing my own life story–a project which was completed in November. In One Small Life, which will come out this year, I gaze at history through a seventy year perspective (1953-2023).
This morning I received the final piece for the book–The Foreword by Leland Paris–which reinforced my thoughts on global events and what God is calling us to do. I will end this piece with Leland’s wise perspective.
But first, here’s My View of the World 2023.
The Blessing of Spiritual Fathers: Remembering Pastor Steve (1931-2021)
Saturday afternoon I received a call from a daughter of my teenage pastor. She informed me that her beloved father–Steve Watkins–had passed away and was now in the presence of Jesus (Philippians 1:23).
I was sad for our great loss, but also happy because of his graduation to glory.
“Pastor Steve,” as most of us called him, was an important spiritual father to many and a link in the chain of salvation that stretches to the nation of Mongolia.
Here is our story–and why spiritual fathers are so needed in our lives.
