Human Rights
The Pilgrim Legacy
I hope you prayed for the Dobbs v. Jackson abortion case that was argued today before the U.S. Supreme Court. After fifty years of the greatest holocaust in human history, this Mississippi appeal provides an opportunity to limit abortions in our nation or possibly reverse Roe v. Wade.
The decision will not be announced until June 2022, but between now and then we must intercede for our justices to do right according to the U.S. Constitution, the laws of God, and the consciences of honest human beings.
The right to life in America–the most basic of human rights–goes back to the Pilgrims of Plymouth, Plantation. Here is the Pilgrim legacy we must renew in our day.
The Trojan Horse of BLM
The Trojan Horse is a story how the Greeks used stealth to win a war. It’s part of Greek mythology–but possibly based on real events.
I’ve regrettably concluded the Black Lives Matter organization (BLM) is the biggest social Trojan Horse of our time.
We better “drag it out” of our nation before it’s too late.
Verbal Fascism
I remember vividly the cultural turmoil of the 1960’s highlighting the importance of free speech at the U.C.-Berkeley and other campuses. Though I strongly rejected the youth rebellion and its focus on drugs, free sex, and hatred of the police, I agreed with one tenet.
Free speech.
It stood enshrined in the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights and seemed as American as apple pie. I thought the radicals simply wanted equal time. That’s fair in a free society.
I was wrong.
Those same radicals now control many of the leadership positions in government, the media and higher education in the United States. We now know what they wanted all along.
Control. And how do you gain it?
Verbal Fascism.
