History
Destroyer
Often people ask me how I choose my weekly topics. It’s pretty simple.
I do my best to try to keep up on world events (lots of reading) and then pray for and over people and issues. The intercession times usually lead to thoughts and themes I write down and commit to share. I usually have ten-to-fifteen different subjects percolating at a time.
Today’s topic is one I’ve been chewing on for awhile that became confirmed this week.
Destroyer.
What the Mar-a-Lago Raid Means for America
“The Federal Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago, the residence of former U.S. president Donald Trump in Palm Beach, Florida, on August 8, 2022.”
That’s what Wikipedia wrote.
Wikipedia can’t be trusted as truthful because it can be written by most anyone–and carries a strong bias.
I would have written: “The FBI unnecessarily fomented a ten-hour raid on the home of former president Trump on August 8, 2022, something never before seen in the history of our nation.”
See the difference? Here’s why it’s important.
Celebrating the World’s Three Greatest Documents
A vast array of words have been written during the 6,000 years of recorded history. Most are of little value–and for thousands of years, contained primarily the exploits of ego-centric kings.
Other works have inspired civilizations or offered valuable instruction or amusement.
But three stand out above all: The Bible, the Declaration of Independence, and the United States Constitution.
Let’s celebrate them this 4th of July week.
