Faith
A Tribute to Margaret Irene Cookson (1927-2022)
Margaret Irene Cookson, Shirley’s mother, passed away last night on December 6 at Hospice House in Tacoma, Washington. I spent two hours with her before she passed–thanking God that he would soon usher her into the arms of Jesus and a glorious time of reunion.
Mothers are the most important people on earth–imparting their lives and love to their children and extended family.
We miss you, Irene. But we know you’ve just experienced the greatest day of your life.
All because of Jesus.
Destroyer
Often people ask me how I choose my weekly topics. It’s pretty simple.
I do my best to try to keep up on world events (lots of reading) and then pray for and over people and issues. The intercession times usually lead to thoughts and themes I write down and commit to share. I usually have ten-to-fifteen different subjects percolating at a time.
Today’s topic is one I’ve been chewing on for awhile that became confirmed this week.
Destroyer.
Be Faith Full
No, that’s not a typo in the title. I know how to spell the word “faithful. ”
I just typed it that way for emphasis.
The secular world often labels followers of Jesus “the faithful,” and their definition seems to imply we’re loons, fanatics, or non-thinking people. The truth is quite the opposite.
Faithfulness is a main characteristic of God (Psalm 92:2)–and should describe us also.
Here’s what it means.
