Why I Will Vote For the Third Time For Donald Trump
While recovering from stomach surgery, my prayers continue for revival in America and wisdom for the American people in the 2024 presidential election.
In some states, people begin voting soon.
The recent second assassination attempt on our former president only heightens the tension in our country and points to the need for good, effective leadership in our nation.
Here’s why I will vote for the third time for Donald Trump to be the 47th president of the United States.
Providence and President Trump
Twelve hours after the attempted assassination of Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, I anxiously sat down for my morning devotions. Most days I check my “Life Calendar” to see what happened on this particular date in past years. (My “Life Calendar” can be found on pages 697-714 of One Small Life.)
On July 14, 1973, I recorded my belief in a vital truth:
“God is sovereign in history.”
America learned that same lesson–again–on July 13, 2024.
Here are my thoughts on God’s Providence and attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
One Area The USA Shouldn’t Be Exceptional
As a student and teacher of United States history, I’m thrilled at how God took a “hidden continent” (The New World) three hundred years ago and created a nation/civilization never seen before in history. We call that miracle “American Exceptionalism.”
Our biblical faith, melting pot unity, political institutions, social fraternities, political freedoms, and unparalleled blessings have made the United States of America a model for other nations to follow.
But recently something has happened to our populace and civics that is very concerning.
Here’s one area of U.S. culture that shouldn’t be exceptional.
