Split Decision (Maybe) in the Fight for America
During Israel’s ancient history, the nation turned away from God to follow other paths. During one decline, Elijah admonished the people to “stop wavering between two opinions (1 Kings 18:21). “If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal follow him.”
Baal represented a heathen tyrant who encouraged sexual debauchery. The living God stood for truth, goodness, and beauty.
In Elijah’s day, Israel could not make up her mind. God’s ways or Baal’s? The people had to choose.
Same in 21st century America. Election 2020 appears a split decision between secular progressives and traditional people of faith.
Maybe.
Here is my take on Election 2020.
The New American Axis of Evil
It’s Halloween week and I have a scary reality to share.
In 2002, President George H.W. Bush described Iran, Iraq and North Korea as an axis of evil who pose a “grave and present danger.” He was right, and Iran and North Korea remain on the list. China should be added.
We now face a new axis of evil in America who also pose a “grave and present danger.”
Who are they? And what can we do about it?
How the Baby Boom Squandered the Easiest Era in History
I hope we all realize the world will never be the same. We have reached the end of an era and a new one has begun.
During the early stages of Covid pandemic, many thought (or hoped) that the plague would pass and things would return to normal. It did not–and then mob anarchy ignited in Democrat-led cities around the nation.
We now live in a new time-period and face the most crucial election of our lifetime in 74 days. I will comment on that next week and use this one to set the stage.
Here is how the Baby Boom generation squandered the easiest era in history.
