Devil Take the Youngest and Our Crisis of Meaning
The apparent gassing of 45 innocent men, women and children recently in Syria stunned the world–again. Chemical agents remain a hideous way to die, and every word of disgust leveled at the Assad regime (and its proxies, Russia and Iran) for committing this barbaric crime are well deserved.
U.N. Ambassador Nicki Haley’s blistering words stand out as the most poignant and clear response on the subject.
All innocent deaths are tragic. But when they involve children or youth, something inside of us revolts at the insanity and injustice.
Yet, the truth about juvenile deaths is much bigger than Syrian chlorine attacks. The devil remains committed to taking out the youngest–on both ends of the spectrum.
Do Women Hold the Key to America’s Future?
The stark contrast and worldview difference between the recent March for Life and the Women’s Marches could not be more glaring.
One march peacefully encouraged the stoppage of the world’s single greatest holocaust–the slaughter of 60 million innocent children in America since 1973. The other profanely applauded the barbarism of baby-killing and while displaying signs depicting a litany of progressive causes.
Women stood at the center of both marches–and are rising in power in America society.
Do American woman hold the key to our nation’s future?
Why I Reject Progressivism: It Hurts People in This Life and the Next
The Senate voted 51-50 today (with Vice President Mike Pence breaking the tie), to move forward with the debate on repealing and replacing Obamacare (the Affordable Care Act). This remains the biggest unfulfilled pledge of the 2016 presidential campaign and will not be easy to accomplish.
Why? Because people like free money and politicians know it.
All 48 Democratic senators voted against the motion to debate. The Democrats move in lock step with the progressive movement. They not only want the ACA to remain, but covet single-payer health care in the United States. Single payer means the federal government controls your life and health.
Two Republican senators–Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska–voted with the Dems because they are progressives at heart. They should probably change parties.
Why do we want the ACA to die a much needed death? For the same reason I reject progressivism.
