Here’s the second article of a prophetic perspective–this time on the USA.
As we approach the home stretch of the 2024 presidential election, it’s crucial that we choose wisely for the future of our nation. I will say much about this in coming weeks and encourage you to pray, act, and vote as if your life depended of the November result.
Yet, the greater need in our nation is for a deep and abiding spiritual awakening–a revival. Here is a clear prophetic voice on America’s greatest need.
Prophetic Perspective on The West – Ben Shapiro
I have kept a personal diary since 1972. A year ago I turned it into an autobiography called One Small Life: Revival Adventures From My Fifty Year Journal. While writing and arranging the book, it seemed like an interesting idea to make a “Life Calendar” of the most important events and decisions I’d made over a lifetime.
The purpose was to remember God’s goodness and guidance.
On August 28, 1973 (fifty-one years ago today), at the age 20, I got a glimpse of God’s calling. I listed it this way: “Ezekiel 1:3 – I must speak God’s prophetic message – 1973.”
There are many prophetic voices in our world who have blessed my life and honed the message. Here’s an important perspective on Western Civilization that I want you to ponder.
Eve of Destruction?
Baby boomers in particular remember the Barry McGuire tune “Eve of Destruction” which became a theme song of the 1960s and early ’70s. It referenced the anti-Vietnam war demonstrations, the hippie movement against faith-based morality, and the danger of nuclear weapons.
The world wasn’t destroyed two generations ago, but Western civilization arguably began its descent into moral and social disintegration.
Destructive forces have been unleashed this week at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago mirroring the mayhem of 1968. There’s upheaval in the streets and very seductive messaging inside the United Center.
Is the Democratic Party trying to bring back an eve of destruction?
